"Just Go Up"
A downloadable game for Windows
Made for Oct Jamfest 2025 @ GMU over 3 days. The theme for the game jam was Mixed Signals. "Just go Up" deliberately confuses the player’s inputs — every time they gain a new ability, the controls are remapped. This creates a sense of disorientation and miscommunication between player and game, embodying the idea of receiving mixed signals while trying to stay in control.
Dash - Boost yourself in a direction!
Teleport - Warp through the air and terrain!
Double Jump - Jump again mid air!
Grapple Hook - Boost yourself and gain momentum in the direction of the grapple point
Glide - Reduce the gravity of Alora for 2 seconds, use this to go across great gaps!
Shrink - Shrink Alora to fit into tight corridors!
Hover - Suspend Alora in animation to time a jump or simply to recuperate yourself and plan your next move!
Sprint - Alora runs at great speeds; great for clearing larges gaps as well!

goated game
This is a neat concept, but without checkpoints it's too tedious to get far into it.
We just added checkpoints in our most recent update!
